"That is correct," he tilted his head slightly to the side and studied her. Was she... was she crying? Whatever for? Was she upset over her phone being broken, because she'd done that herself. He'd seen her do it. Or had whoever she had been talking to upset her in some way. That seemed likely.
Bravely, he reached up and brushed a tear from her face. "What's wrong?" He only asked because she was going to be useful to him. Electrical powers were very useful. At least, that's what he was telling himself. It was only because she was useful. Not because he actually cared that she was alright. Not because he actually enjoying the human race as it was.
