Firekeeper nodded, smiling happily, grateful that Harley hadn't pushed about the times before she was a wolf. "Some parts hard. So many words for same thing, or similar thing. Extra words." She shook her head and wrinkled her nose. Leave it to humans to complicate something as simple as words, she thought.
"Met humans..." she paused and counted. "Four summers ago? I think that is right. They take me back to Hawk Haven. Think I may be a princess." She snorted. "Not what they expect from a princess." It was quite the understatement. Aside from smelling like sweat and wolf, her curly hair was messy and unevenly cropped where it wasn't pulled back, her scarred skin seemed to have dirt permanently ingrained in it, and her bare feet would have made the most resolute pedicurist run screaming. "They do their best." She shrugged.
Blind Seer continued to ignore the hyenas by all outward appearances, though he snuck a sidelong glance or two at them. Firekeeper watched them with great interest. "Was speaking of speaking. And meeting humans. Where did you get hyenas?"
