Firekeeper frowned in confusion. Was this woman one like herself, who had adopted another species as family? It certainly didn't do to have them on leashes, if that was the case. "Babies?" she asked hesitantly, switching briefly to Beast to ask the beasts--spotted hyenas--the same question.
Her confusion only deepened as Harley spoke. She recognized most of the words, but there were enough thrown in that she had a hard time deciphering their meaning. "Why can't these two-legs speak normally, like the ones back home?" she whined at Blind Seer.
Blind Seer halted in chewing at his shoulder and gave the wolf equivalent of a shrug. "I'm sure that they say the same thing of you, dear heart. And doubtlessly would of me if they only cared to inquire whether I could speak."
"Is that bitterness I hear?" she teased.
Blind Seer yawned lazily. "Hardly. I believe she is still speaking with you."
Firekeeper turned her attention back to Harley. "Can speak. Brother. Packmate." She scratched at his head affectionately. "They laugh at him. Not answer. Rude, even if cousin-kind. Not like."
