"Psychology. An interesting science. It is the study of the psyche, is it not? I met Psyche, boring girl, useful, but boring." Thinking of Psyche turned the sorceress' thoughts to Cupid; her smile grew cold and hungry for only a brief moment. The City was an idiot.
"How many have you met who have left and come back? Or who have changed?" She looked up at him, brow raised for a moment. The smile had faded, but not out of displeasure. It was time she learned more from the inhabitants, the ones that were brought here.
Her head tilted for a moment as she thought she felt something. The power in the City fluctuated, but not in the way it did when the buildings moved. Then there was that feeling of familiarity, old ways, memories. Her head lifted as she smiled at the smart boy.
"The City is trying to provide me with a dwelling. Let us hope the City knows what it's doing." She didn't say more than that on the subject, changing it back to the people. "Do you feel a difference between those who are raised here and those who are brought here?"
