"Oh, if I were you, I'd be contemplating what I might do next, once I was released because we both know I can't keep you there indefinitely. Which, by the way, isn't very nice - thinking of how you might..deal with me." The small woman shook her finger at the man captured in the circle.
She walked slowly up to it and smiled. Her hands slid into her borrowed pants pockets. She didn't have any weapons, and she wasn't making any sort of gestures. The only thing that could be seen as threatening was the circle, and perhaps her voice if she chose to start a spell.
"I'd feel angry and surprised, too. These are not common for you; I don't believe places can feel surprise - anger perhaps, but not so much surprise. But, then, I've never been a place, just a person." Baba had been many people.
She started to walk slowly round the circle, watching the male within it. "Revenge will not suit you as you believe it will. You could kill me, banish me, remove me, but it will serve you no good. Well, removal might, but what fun would that be? And this form? No, my dear City, I just used one of your creations to call you; you have every choice in what you want to show."
She came to a stop, her back to the male. She was thinking. Slowly she looked over her shoulder at the City, captured there.
"I wanted to say that I do appreciate being freed from that dungeon, and from a world of idiot do-gooders. You have my thanks for that, but I want to understand how you work. I sense power, but it is not what I know. I can tap into it, use it a little. In fact, I can use the power others have as well. You knew this?" What did the City know? why was she there? How did everything work? She turned to face him completely.
"Or is that a surprise as well? Do you know all those people out there? Some come from here, are something of your creation, but others...mmm, they're not yours at all."
