He turned and smiled at the sound of her voice. She looked a little lost, but he wasn't going to bring it up. He could lay it down to the loss of feelings and the confusion over that.
She certainly did look nice in his shirt though. She was small enough that it hung low, giving him something to imagine under there, and he could. He'd seen her. He'd liked what he'd seen.
Jesse poured the coffee into two mugs and brought them over to the part of the counter that had the sugar and milk set on it.
"Didn't know what you'd like, so I just got it all out. Can make ya some eggs too, if yer hungry." He nodded back at another section of counter that had stools. He supposed it was sort of an island, the way it sat away from the rest of the kitchen. But weren't islands in the middle somehow? Damned home design. He didn't know a thing about it.
