Charlie just smiled down at the pretty Betty. His head tilted as he looked over her face; she had a familiar feeling to her. His brows furrowed as he tried to figure out what that was exactly. It wasn't the fruity taste that he'd decided she most definitely was. It wasn't the smile; he'd seen some really nice ones in L.A. It wasn't even how quickly she let him kiss her.
The warm feeling inside made him think for a moment of his ex-wife, but he couldn't conjure up her face. It really wasn't that important, but the feeling, he recognized the feeling. It was something like love, if not the real thing. The hand in her hair lowered to her shoulder, then slid slowly down her arm, before dropping to her hip.
They looked like a couple out of some movie, just standing there staring at each other. His hands settled at her hips, thumbs tracing the curve of her waist. This was the bliss; he had found bliss in those eyes. He'd have to share this information.
"There is only now. We are here and there is only now."
