As strange as the things were that he was saying, Betty found herself not minding in the slightest. In fact, she felt a heat rise through her body at his statement that he was going to kiss her. How long had it been since she'd been kissed? Far too long, it would seem. Far, far too long.
So she said nothing and just let her lips gently meet his. Her eyes closed, taking comfort in the moment and trying terribly to ignore the grumbling sound coming from the soul beside her.
"Excuse me, miss," he kept saying, incessantly, and Betty would have been lying if she'd said it wasn't mildly irritating. But only mildly, because she was so incredibly wrapped up in the kiss she was sharing with Charlie. The soul could wait a bit, it wasn't like he had anywhere to be anymore.
