Hannibal, having his afternoon walk as he did every day, was stopped at that same street light when the girl appeared. At first, she seemed just as any other girl in this strange place. Nothing unusual or different in any way. Of course, it didn't take long for his attention to detail to catch the eyes. Or the ears.
A slow smile crossed his lips. She certainly wasn't a definition of human that he knew of. And that had expanded quite a bit since he'd arrived.
Hannibal found his curiosity piqued. He stepped forward to take her in better.
Young. But she might not be as young as she looked on the outside. His involvement with vampires had taught him that much. He adored the color of her eyes, but that was probably something superficial and vain coming out of the heart of him.
She looked a little lost. Not in the 'I don't know where I'm going' sort of way, but the classic 'I don't know what the hell is going on' way that he'd seen time and time again. Had even felt at one point himself.
