"I actually have... a ... uh... house here." Ted was studying the man in front of him, thinking that it couldn't possibly be the real Norman Bates, it couldn't be. It wasn't possible. But yes. Yes he actually had to be, because this was the Bates Motel, and he had all the right features, and all the right mannerisms and everything was perfect.
"I just, I was walking by and I saw that there was sort of a change in the way things looked, so I came up to explore. Here you are. Just right where you should be. Doing... I'm assuming you're doing taxidermy back there?"
He sort of wanted to see. He wanted to watch Norman do that thing.
"Do you have candy in your pocket?"
He sort of felt like a little kid at Christmas, and he'd just gotten the coolest gift ever. He'd never been a rabid fan of horror movies, but it was really just one thing to watch them and another thing to be talking to the star of one. Maybe he was in the horror movie now. No. That wasn't right.
Ted almost asked how Mother was, but then he remembered that probably wouldn't be such a hot idea. So he just stared. Because there was nothing else.
