Cat Scratch Fever [Attn: Cameron, hospital people]
OOC: Some of this contains a joint post between Dean/Cameron
Dean moved through the tunnel, not sure where it was leading. His feet were soaked in sewer wetness that he didn't want to know what made it up. His body sweating in the heat even though it was spring time cool up above from where he was. The flashlight in his hand flickered a moment and Dean got his usual sinking feeling. This often occurred, in his experience, when there was a demon or spirit around.
Water dripped as Dean continued on, his eyes ever searching for any kind of movement. Shadows crept along the walls as the hunter moved. Dean couldn't be sure what was actually moving and what was caused by the flicker of his flashlight. He paused a moment, turning his head. A roach crawled along the wall. Dean was just glad not to see slime. Slime of skin that was shed. Shed by a shape-shifter.
The roach was crushed by a force that moved along behind the hunter. When Dean would stop, it would as well, blending into brick, poured concrete, the slime of the water. "C'mon you bastard," Dean muttered.
He broke into an opening. It was spacious. Water dripped from pipes. Before him was a water pool. He got this feeling going up his spine. He couldn't explain the feeling but he turned around quickly, about to throw holy water when he was struck in the chest. Dean flew backwards into the water.
~~~~~~~~
Hazel eyes fluttered against lightly freckled tanned skin. A single light was above. Dean tried to cough the water out of his lungs but it was difficult. Something bound his chest. He found the strength to lift his head which ached like mini trolls were inside mining away.
Dean was soaking wet. Thick leather straps held him down at arms and legs as well as his chest which were wet as well. He was upon a table, arms out, legs spread. Dean knew the position. He experienced it before. He looked to the strap on his right wrist, when the leather dries, it will tighten. A small thanks was given that it wasn't soaked with his own blood as before. Another bonus was at least he was not naked, still had his jeans on but the rest of him was bare.
A man walked into the room. He was of average height, blonde hair, blue eyes. He wore a rumpled button up blue shirt, untucked from his jeans. Dean didn't know the face but there was something familiar behind those eyes. "Dean, so good to see you again." He walked over, carrying a rather nasty looking blade.
"Sigil," Dean growled, "Who let you out?" There was only a limited amount of demons who approached him on the rack. This one was one of them. And he was sick. Sadistic. Nearly up there with Alastair.
Sigil smiled, "I'm touched you remembered me." He walked over, carrying the blade, playing with it as he touched the tip to his own finger. Dean's eyes were locked upon it before shifting his gaze toward the demon. "Oh, you are wondering about this?" He held it up, turning it in the air, the metal creating it's own wickedness in the light.
"I was about to give up my Twinkies to know," came the sarcasm that naturally dripped from the older Winchester.
"Oh this, this is gonna change your life," He answered. "Just like this place," he motioned around him. "You know what I love about this place?"
"The lovely smell and atmosphere?" Dean asked.
Sigil chuckled, "See this City is unique. It is heaven to some. Away from all their troubles. Meeting new people. Doing things they never would do. Some times naughty nasty things. This place isn't quit heaven though is it? It's also a bit like hell. Bringing back torments one thought they left behind. Sometimes returning to them ten fold. See, you think you people are the only ones this place brings in? Demons. Angels. The like. Supernatural. Not. We are all a part of it's little game too. Some of us don't mind playing along. I see this place as more like a limbo play ground. And lucky you, you are here with me." The blade was run down the center of Dean's chest, flat at first but then turned to the edge. It caused the hunter to growl as he tried to hold back a scream of pain.
"You fucking BASTARD!" Dean shot out.
"Let's take a visit back to the old days, when we used to play," Sigil lowered down to Dean.
Blood stained the hunter's skin. Long cuts decorated Dean's body. He was unconscious from the pain he suffered, possibly from the loss of blood as well. It was then Sigil took the opportunity. He was speaking in an ancient tongue while carving several symbols upon Dean's shoulder. The area glowed and as the tip of the blade made it's last mark, Sigil pulled it back just a bit to see the blood upon it turn clear. It slowly trickled down, building in size till it reached the tip. It then lowered down, like one pouring syrup, creating a string that connected it to the blade as it lowered down to Dean's skin.
Dean gave a moan, waking as his body screamed. He turned his head and saw the drop connect to his skin, seeming to absorb into the pattern that was there. "What the ..."
Sigil turned his head and smiled wickedly at Dean. There was a new body, this one littered in tattoos, bald. "So glad you woke." He smacked his hand upon the symbol, creating a grunt from Dean. "You scream so nicely. I missed our time together. Especially when you were at my side, aiding."
"Go to hell," Dean growled, his fist clenching, feeling the sting of where his own nails bit into his palms.
"Oh, c'mon, Dean. Don't you remember the good times? How we worked together as Alastair watched. He was so proud at how you took to it so quickly. The peeling of skin in small patches, in little layers. How you taught us to tie them down with their owntendons and muscles. Not that we really needed to know but it was lovely to hear you say it." Sigil smiled. "Well that should take effect in a while." He moved away a bit.
"What did you do to me?" Dean tried to look at the mark.
"You'll find out soon enough." Sigil placed that blade away and picked up another. He touched his finger to it and smiled. "Perfect." He walked over. He took the knife to run along Dean's left arm.
Dean felt the knife cut and he tried not to scream, his body jerked as he tasted blood in his mouth from biting at his inner cheek. But he understood why this knife was 'perfect' in Sigil's eyes, it was dull. It was about midway in it's cut when Dean screamed out. His voice again echoed through the room and down the tunnels.
Sigil smiled.
Joint post with Cameron/Dean
It'd been a few days, Cameron had been busy, but she figured it was about time one of them called the other. Figuring it wouldn't be Dean making the call so she made the first move and didn't mind one bit. She dialed his number from her cell.
The ring was nearly drowned by Dean's scream as the dull blade had now moved down his leg. Sigil stopped, looking at the Winchester's jacket where the annoying music was coming from. "Expecting a call?"
"My accountant," Dean answered, panting and looking up at the light, trying to ignore the pain.
Sigil walked over and pulled the phone out, flipping it open. "Now whom might this be?" He asked while looking at Dean as he licked the blade clean of blood.
Cameron blinked a few times. "I'm sorry, do I have the wrong number? I'm looking for Dean." Cameron paused. "I'm Allison Cameron."
"Allison Cameron," Sigil looked over at Dean. "Ahh, how nice to meet you. Oh, you have the right number but Dean is a little, tied up." He jabbed the knife down into Dean's leg which gave a pleasing result of a scream.
"Who is this? What the hell ... Dean? Did Dean just scream? Who is this? Where are you!?" She should have been calling the cops, but something about this wasn't right. She just couldn't stop listening.
"You ask so many questions? You are an inquisitive one aren't you. That either makes you ... a cop but I don't think you are. Not Dean's type. A lawyer ... no, not his type either. Or a ... doctor. They like to ask questions too. Hmm are you a doctor, little Allison? I hope so. So does Dean." He looked back to him.
"If you have to know, yes I'm a doctor. What the hell are you doing to him? You do know there are laws here, you can't just hurt someone and think you'll get away with it." You didn't talk to kidnappers, or terrorists. You didn't deal with it. But Cameron wouldn't put the phone down either.
Sigil grinned, something wicked, "Honey, your law ... would be scared of me too. You really however shouldn't worry your pretty little head. Dean and I are old friends. We are just catching up on old times. Now unless you want to come play too ..."
"You bastard, leave her alone!" Dean screamed and now struggled for the first time in hours.
"Aww, you should see him, Allie. Such concern for you. You rejuvinated him for me. We are gonna have so much fun again." Sigil sounded almost giddy.
"This city has more than just it's law to worry about." Cameron sounded stern, but she knew very well that there was more than Law in this city. They had superheroes and murderers around every turn. But Cameron wasn't going to call them just yet.
She was concerned, maybe she shouldn't have been. But she couldn't help but voice it. "Just leave him alone! What do you want? Is it money?"
Sigil looked at Dean, "Are you offering me a deal, little Allie? Sorry but I'm not the one who can do that. As much as I would love to. Besides, what you would offer wouldn't be what I want. I'm sorry, Allie but I really must go. Dean and I, well I just don't think the floor is red enough." He flipped the phone closed, leaving her with the sound of Dean screaming again.
~~~~~~
The glass doors were not too far away. But they night have well been miles. With each step, it was a struggle. Pain through every movement occurred. Blood dripped from wounds that could no longer be absorbed by clothing.
Dean stumbled toward the doors, his vision blinded by blood, blinded by pain. As people walked out, they looked at him, taking a wide path around him. Gawking instead of helping. People. He made it to the door, thankfully they opened on their own. He stumbled in, opening his moutht speak when a Nurse started yelling.
"Someone call a doctor, stat!" She shouted in going over to him, "Take it easy, sir, we are gonna hel..." She couldn't even finish it as he fell to the floor. Rubber gloves were pulled on and she went to work as others came running. "Fever, massive blood loss, looks like he was cut up pretty badly."
