"I am Wash." The well of Wash's patience was usually fairly deep. But the cold had done a number freezing said supply and a mouthful of titles wasn't getting them any closer to the ship. "Let's go, your lordship." The title wasn't said with the venom Jayne or even Mal might have used, but it certainly wasn't dripping with any sort of reverence.
Lord or Lady, if this guy didn't get a move on, they were both going to be in the med bay for a frostbite patch up. Trudging back to where the mule still hovered outside the open cargo doors, Wash made quick work of climbing back up into the driver's seat. At least he knew now that both Kaylee and Mal were off ship -- otherwise hell would have been raised about the doors being open that long. Well, at least by Mal. Setting his hands upon the controls, he called down to the new arrival -- shouting over the storm and the hum of the engines.
"Stay there! I have to get this inside first." A few flipped switches and the idling mule shuddered as it was shifted into forward and floated up the dropped ramp/door and into the belly of the ship. Once it was in place, Wash powered down. His goggles and gloves were abandoned in the seat beside him and he hopped down to set his boots on Serenity's floor. "Allright! It's safe.. come on in!"
And when Much did dare to walk up into the ship, the ramp would rise to close behind him with a metallic clang as it sealed out the wind and snow.
"Like I tried to say outside. My name's Wash. And this.." He gestured broadly to their surroundings. ".. is Serenity. Welcome to not freezing to death."
