The brow lifted slowly, but the sunglasses might have hid such. Her lips pulling in a haughty smile said as much though; she didn't believe him, and it amused her.
"Really? Perhaps fate brought you here." She slid from behind the counter and made her way carefully to him, her hands out a little as if she were judging distances. "Perhaps there is more to your presence here."
She was soon standing very close. She smelled like the shop; she felt like she belonged here. Her hand lifted; fingers brushed at his arm, but they kept moving as if to touch the shelf nearby.
"Oh, I apologize; I didn't realize I was that close."
