"I'm not sure." Jennifer said, starting to get up just when another face came into view. She still moved forward anyway, wondering if the two of them could do it alone, or if she'd need to help too. But with the snow kicked out of the way, she thought they might be able to get it.
That's when she saw the cat. Sitting out there, alone. It looked cold.
"Come here..." She said, holding her hand out. Thinking of Jake. Poor Jake. She seemed to always be away from the apartment. She hoped that The City was providing him with everything he needed since she wasn't there to feed him or cuddle him.
"Come on. You'll freeze out there. I've got a warm blanket." The last was a strange offering, she knew, but she wasn't sure what else she had to offer. And the warmth of a cat was really appealing right now.
