"If will is strong, then body usually follow," Firekeeper said. "Usually." There were always exceptions, she'd found, but it was a general trend. Though even the strongest, Beast or human, could only depend on their will so much when physical or mental damage was too great.
"Will try not to be trouble," she said, standing and stretching out. She'd been sitting for some time, and the cold had stiffened her muscles. "But sometimes trouble follows."
"And sometimes, you make it for yourself," said Blind Seer, getting to his feet.
Firekeeper ignored him. "Most like that, I think," she said, thinking of friends back home. "Some curl up, let snow blow over and freeze. Others fight storm. May find shelter, may not. But fight."
"That was almost poetic," said Blind Seer. "I do believe that it's one of mine."
"Where would we all be without your font of wisdom?" She scratched behind his ears, and he made a not-quite-growl of pleasure. "With humans, also Lady Blysse Kestrel. But," she said with just a hint of a smile, "if using your house, you should know real name. Wolf name." She frowned testing his name out. "Charlie. Is right?" Sometimes it took her a try or two, though she'd become better at it in her years among the humans.
