"Anyone can survive anything if they want; then again, it all depends on what that person calls survival." Charlie nodded slightly then stared at the girl, seeing as she actually looked as if she were asking. She was asking the wolf; he'd seen some strange things, and who was to say she couldn't communicate with the wolf? He'd always wanted to talk to animals; they seemed to know exactly what was what and where it was at. It made sense really. The house might actually feel better with a young woman in it, and an animal. It would be more of a home perhaps. Of course, he'd have to explain Ted, or explain it to Ted, but they'd work it out...
"I don't think you'll be trouble. Ted might be nervous, but he can handle it. He can handle anything; he just doesn't know it yet." Charlie smiled proudly for his housemate, or his landlord now. It made him smile to think that Ted would have some of those fine things he'd had before, only now they just had to hope that Ted wouldn't revert to his old ways. Charlie didn't think so; Ted had learned his lesson.
"Blind Seer and Firekeeper. Those mean things. I didn't get a meaningful name. My partner is Jennifer Government - she works for the government. Ted's Ted Early." He squinted in thought. "Not sure if that can mean anything. I'm Charlie Crews, Detective Charlie Crews." He was named after his father, but he wouldn't add that. "You can call me 'Charlie' if you want."
