"Oh. Well, you're blue." Some parts of her had that faint color that came to skin under extreme cold. Charlie nodded at the observation. "Only bits of you are blue really, but it does happen that if you stay out in the cold, all of you will be blue. By then you'll probably be dead, but you'll be blue. I saw this man who was frozen. I'm not speaking figuratively; he was frozen. I touched him..."
His head dropped after that anouncement. It wasn't that Charlie had killed him; the man was dead - he wasn't coming back from the freeze, but...
"He broke into little bitty pieces, everywhere. Reese wasn't happy. She's my partner." He paused, brows furrowing for a moment. "She was my partner. She's probably someone else's partner now, which probably makes her happy. I think I drove her crazy. So, I have a house."
Yes, he did seem random.
"It's a big house. Well, it's not my house anymore, but I think Ted would be okay with the extra person in the house. I had a horse in the house. Ted didn't seem to mind. It could be nice to have a wolf in the house. I had my niece in the house, not the same thing as a horse, and she really wasn't my niece. But, it's a house." An odd invitation.
