(sorry for the delay)
"I see." Charlie nodded slowly as if he did then he shook his head. "No, I don't. Not about the being alone. Being alone is rarely a good thing, but it can be useful at times. Then again, having people around is usually better for social creatures; humans are supposed to be social creatures. I heard that somewhere, or maybe I read it. I don't remember right now."
He paused to look at the wolf then at the girl; this was not good. He understood to a point why she might not want to be burdened by housing, clothing, and such, but it couldn't have been good for her, no matter what she thought? Or maybe how she lived was exactly what people needed. More nature.
"You know what's warmer than sitting here? Being inside. Though if you like the park, you probably wouldn't like being inside so much." He squinted up at the sky, the snow still falling. "Yet, if you want to be warm and have regular meals, both of you, being inside might be a good idea." He nodded, finally looking at her. "Plus, humans have a need to be clean, or that's what I've read. We need to be clean to be healthy, but that could be because we're just too clean now. Maybe. I don't know. I'm not a doctor."
He smiled a little as Bones from Star Trek decided to make some sort of comment about being a doctor instead of whatever he wasn't at the time. It was a private inside joke sort of smile.
