Charlie probably would have found the idea of Royal Beasts interesting, partly because he had no idea what they were, or that they existed. The idea that cats and birds could live together seemed odd, but Charlie had already decided to set aside sometime to think about how these two natural enemies could live with each other. He knew it was possible if the bird was caged, but how was that fair to the bird? His mind had wandered, but the question about pack pulled him back.
"I suppose I do. I have a friend here, and a partner. Two different people." He had been asked just how close he and Ted were in the past, and while he had no issues with homosexual or even situation sexual partnerships, he simply wasn't part of that. "I suppose they could be pack."
He shifted a little and finally settled down on a step, suspecting as long as he didnt' go near the young woman, he wouldn't be attacked. It was taking chance, but what was life for, if not taking chances?
"I've been out of the loop, but does looking like a homeless person now count as fashion?" He wasn't smiling, and he wasn't teasing. He was honestly curious. "Seeing as it's snowing, I'd think it'd be a bad fashion to have."
