It was a question that Firekeeper had had plenty of time to ponder and answer. "If pack in heart, pack is," she said, jaw set stubbornly. "More than form and blood." She had certainly proved her place among her pack in the Iron Mountains despite being neither one of their own, nor even a wolf in appearance. They had accepted her as one of their own, and had stood up for her in the face of derision from some of the other Royal Beasts.
Her expression softened into one of wide-eyed curiosity as she asked, "What is emu and leopard?"
