"I'm seventeen." Raven said, though her voice was muffled as she shrugged out of her coat. It was nice to be someplace warm and snow-free, and she planned to take advantage while she had the opportunity. "...seriously, caffeine's really that bad? I thought John was just joking when he said it would stunt my growth."
The teenager let out a laugh, but the smile didn't quite reach her eyes. John. She'd barely been gone any time at all, but she already missed her friends.
"I guess I'll pass on the coffee. I've got O.J. anyway, but thanks." Raven brandished her little convenience-store bottle of juice, then perched on the edge of a seat. "I don't know if my problem is really what you guys deal with, but I don't know how to handle it myself and the people I'd normally go to for help aren't here."
Raven hesitated; the warning about the fridge went right over her head, which was probably for the best. The mention of scientific knowledge and personal experience with multiple dimensions sank in, though - now that sounded pretty helpful. The teen perked up.
"You've been to an elsewhere?" Raven asked, hopeful eyes on Fred. "Okay, maybe you guys can help. How do you know when you've been abducted by demons? I always thought it would be pretty obvious - they appear, they grab you, and poof - but. This time it hasn't been like that."
