Fred wasn't sure what to say. She hadn't meant for Angel to go off like that, and the idea of splitting up after finding them just seemed wrong. yet, it looked like they might have to. She looked at the two left and smiled; Sam and Wesley - it wasn't like Charles and Wesley, but she liked it. They'd work out well, she hoped.
"The Library still may be worth lookin' into. We might find real psychics; the way the City is odds are we could find an honest to goodness one. I know someone who's been her a long time; he might help. He's from Texas, and we got pancakes. He's the ex-preacher." She nodded, smiling still.
The smile faded a little as Wes got closer. She looked up at him confused; this seemed familiar. When it hit, she started giggling.
"But, if we're together, you turn evil and hurt every-" Fred shook her head, giggling some more. She just couldn't.
"You know, the last time you and Cordy did that, he walked in on you." Fred tried to get into Buffy mode, but she'd met Buffy - Fred knew she was no Buffy. With a little bump of her hip to the Englishman's, she wiggled free.
"I can't do Buffy. She's a Slayer, meanin' she kills vampires for...not exactly a livin' more like a callin'. She kills other things too I'm guessin', but she is the Vampire Slayer." A roll of eyes. "She and Angel have this weird love thing goin'. He was a vampire when they met, and they fell in love, and they can't seem to be happy with each other, and they're not exactly happy without each other. And if Angel and Buffy were really happy," Pause for the hint of blush as to what "really happy" meant,"then Angel turns into a really evil guy that no one wants to have around. So, I sorta returned him to Mr. Broodypants by mentionin' her name."
"But I guess the curse that gave him soul really doesn't count much anymore seein' as he's human now and has a soul all the time, not just when gypsies put it there." And now, Sam was caught up.
