A smile broke across Barbara's space, as she shrugged. "True," she ceded. The girl's suggestion made perfect sense; Barbara just wasn't sure how to go about doing it. She didn't have much experience going out and making friends. She knew how to socialize, yes (being the Commissioner's daughter left her with no other option, really), but shaking hands with bigwigs was a far cry from making real friends. The few she had seemed to have happened to her, most of the them accidentally.
Barbara rubbed a hand across her face with a sigh. If she was reading the meaning behind the girl's words correctly, she was going to be stuck here for a while, if not forever. "I suppose I'll have to find an apartment, and a job."
