Versus! IC Questions
It's been a couple weeks, and the kitty wants some more answers - they're almost as good as cream and a good tummy rub. These are for the characters again; remember, it's just for fun.

So, what/who would win? Which would you pick? Why (optional)?

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts

2) Beatles vs. Eagles

3) Science vs. Magic

4) Good vs. Evil

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate

6) Shower vs. Bath

7) Ropes vs. Chains

8) Fire vs. Ice

1) Cavemen! Less wrapping to get through.
2) Eagles! Much tastier.
3) Umm... well... I don't like magic so much... so... science?
4) Huff puff! Eveyone knows you say "Good"!
5) Both! No, wait... just one? Umm... MEAT!
6) CRIPES! Don't say the B-word!!
7) Chains hold better.
8) Ice. Ice, please. Ice. I like ice.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts

Advanced thought and superior technology, not to mention crisis training.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles

Hordes of fans will do it every time. Unless you're talking about the insects, in which case, I reserve the right to change my answer.

3) Science vs. Magic

There's no such thing as magic.

4) Good vs. Evil

Nothing is that black and white.

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate

It's classic.

6) Shower vs. Bath

More relaxing. Longer history.

7) Ropes vs. Chains

Practicality indicates that metal is more difficult to confound.

8) Fire vs. Ice

Space is cold.

There's magic everywhere! Well, not everywhere, but lots of places. Of course, there may be some worlds that have no magic at all, which is only a little sad.

So, very agree on the good vs evil, very much so.

Ropes and chains, it really depends on what you're using them for. Sometimes chains can be a little cumbersome, not as easy to carry around.

1. Astronauts are much, much cooler.
2. Screw those old farts. How about something from this century? Like the Killers, maybe?
3. Not a big fan of science and there's no such thing as magic, so I'll go with D-None of the above
4. Well, we're obviously supposed to say good. If we don't, then that's a sign that we're 'troubled.' What type of questionnaire is this anyway?
5. Depends on how you're using each.
6. I would have to say both can be fun. Depends who you're taking them with though.
7. So, dominatrixes may be hot, but I'd rather not have to have a safe word thank you.
8. Fire

1. At least cavemen knew their rightful place in nature. Do you have any idea what rocket fuel does to plant life?
2. Butterflies. Better for the flowers.
3. Science, botany and toxicology to be exact
4. Depends what you'd consider evil. If you consider mass genocide of plantlife evil, then I'd choose good. If you consider giving humankind what they deserve and fighting back for the plants who are unable to do so themselves evil, then I'd choose evil.
5. Sunlight
6. A nice rain shower is always refreshing
7. Vines
8. Neither. Both are deadly to my babies.

7) Ropes vs. Chains
oooh. you're naughty.

8) Fire vs. Ice

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts

What are they doing? If, for example, they are playing croquet, I might like to know that. I need a basis for comparison, here.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles

I'm fond of John Lennon.

3) Science vs. Magic

Both in equal amounts. It's how I exist.

4) Good vs. Evil

Really?

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate

I honestly do not give one quarter of a damn.

6) Shower vs. Bath

Bath.

7) Ropes vs. Chains

I hate you.

8) Fire vs. Ice

Again, I hate you. Ice.

I feel these questions leave too much open to give a definite answer, but I tried for some of them. Next time, more information, please.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts - haven't we had this question before? I'm pretty certain I've had this discussion before. But, if not, it depends. What are the weapons? Where's it taking place? What exactly are they doing in the same time and place to be taking on each other? If you're asking which is cooler, then...Fred's pretty cool, but so is Buzz - I know Fred's not real, but the whole moon thing is still under question in some places.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles - What about the Rolling Stones? Isn't that how that goes? I like "Hotel California," but I like "Eight Days a Week," too. I think I'll take both. Then again, what sort of weapons are they carrying? Aren't there more Eagles than Beatles?

3) Science vs. Magic - Both. They work in tandem rather well.

4) Good vs. Evil - No one's really one or the other. Actually nothing is one or the other. It's grades of one with a little bit of the other thrown in.

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate - Vanilla or chocolate what?

6) Shower vs. Bath - That's a little personal, but I'll take either.

7) Ropes vs. Chains - What is it they're supposed to hold?

8) Fire vs. Ice - Pat Benatar is now singing in my head, thank you.

1) What?

2) Believe you misspelled "beetles."

3) Science.

4) Big Damn Heroes

5) Edible.

6) ....

7) Both work in a fix.

8) They both can hurt like hell.

1. Astronauts. At least they've evolved past the whole 'club a woman over the head and mate with her' thing, for the most part.
2. Both, please!
3. Again, I don't see why it has to be one or the other. They work well together. Plus, everyone should have a little magic in their life.
4. I always prefer to find the good in people. And there is good in everyone-it's just sometimes very difficult to find.
5. Chocolate, though I wouldn't say know to vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate fudge. Mmm.
6. That's a little personal, don't you think?
7. Now that's very personal. handcuffs
8. Both have their uses, and both have a time and a place where they can trump each other.

1. Context would help. Otherwise I'd go with astronauts. Come on, space men are just cool.

2. Beatles. 4 of the top ten albums of all time are theirs.

3. What sort of question is that? One doesn't work without the other. You can't just pick one.

4. Grey.

5. Both.

6. Showers. I'm used to them. I think the luxury of a bath would make me too suspicious to enjoy it.

7. What the hell kinds of questions are these? Depends on the situation.

8. Why not both? They're pretty effective when used in tandem.

7.

You know, I never did understand why you didn't just warm your water over the fire for a bath instead of subjecting yourself to those ice cold showers.

... then again, perhaps I'm better off not asking.

Do you know how long it takes to heat up that much water? I'd probably run out of firewood first.

And before you suggest using magic to heat the water, I don't have the fine control you'd need for a spell like that. I'd probably blast it into steam.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts
Cavemen, they have a huge concept of god, or at least of something higher and likely would be easy to scare. Astronauts are scientists, less likely to scare the hell out of. Unless they are evil scientists... oh damn.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles
Beatles. Have you heard Revolution 9 backwards? And really, they inspired Charles Manson.

3) Science vs. Magic
Science. It inevitably draws people away from belief in Upstairs making them belong to Downstairs.

4) Good vs. Evil
Do I really need to answer this one?

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate
Chocolate, and I think the Angel would agree with me here. Chocolate comes in all sorts of varieties, but have you ever had a Hot Vanilla? No. Case closed.

6) Shower vs. Bath
Shower, it's efficient.

7) Ropes vs. Chains
Why must we choose?

8) Fire vs. Ice
After being Downstairs I'll take Ice, thank you.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts
This question is flawed. There are too many variables to consider which are not given while you're doing the asking.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles
These are circa 1960's music groups. I have respect for both, but have not heard anything but snippets of their work. I cannot decide this.

3) Science vs. Magic
Science.

4) Good vs. Evil
Depending on your point of view, both are the same. I've rooted for both good and evil.

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate
Vanilla.

6) Shower vs. Bath
Shower.

7) Ropes vs. Chains
Not really fond of either.

8) Fire vs. Ice
*begins to rattle off statistics about how long each would take to kill a human being, given various factors*

I can't say I firmly endorse either.

Why must it be versus anything? There is something necessary about most dichotomies, as they complete each other. Without one, the other would...pointless. Of course, these aren't exactly exact opposites, but one does not seem better than the other, as there are always degrees and exceptions. Save for Vanilla vs. Chocolate - everyone knows, strawberry would win.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts - Cavemen. Astronauts have become too dependent on technology to be of much use.

2) Beatles vs. Eagles - Loved "Eight days a week" or getting caught in "Hotel California," really?

3) Science vs. Magic - Magic. Science forgets the earth and powers that come from nature. It attempts to kill off the Fable, saying there is no such thing, when even the atom is just as much belief and fiction as they'd like to misplace in Fables. It all is belief.

4) Good vs. Evil - Evil is good, good is evil - it is all depends on whose glasses and shoes you're wearing.

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate - I am not certain I understand the point to this one.

6) Shower vs. Bath - Mmm, truly depends on the purpose, the company, and what exactly one is being showered or bathed in, doesn't it?

7) Ropes vs. Chains - They are fun toys, aren't they?

8) Fire vs. Ice - Fire, ice, wind, quake - nature is truly something wonderful to behold in the extremes.

1) Cavemen vs. Astronauts
Cavemen. Back before the time of companies and ads and ad wars. Back when life was simple... oh. You're not asking me which I want to be, are you?

2) Beatles vs. Eagles
These are two music groups from an age long before I was even born. I haven't heard anything from either. I only know who they are because once again, retro is popular with the kids. Posters. Shirts.

3) Science vs. Magic
Before here, I would have gone with science, all the way, all the time. But now I'm getting a taste for this magic stuff, and while I do like science, magic is kinda fun.

4) Good vs. Evil
Good. Are you kidding me? Always good. Forever good.

5) Vanilla vs. Chocolate
Oh, chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Chocolate covered in more chocolate with chocolate filling.

6) Shower vs. Bath
Most of the time, showers. Baths are a very rare luxury for me. I don't have that kind of time.

7) Ropes vs. Chains
For.... what?

8) Fire vs. Ice
I'm not really sure if this is a preference question, or which would be the worst way to die. Former - fire. Latter - ice.
