Yay, intro time! Hi, I'm Liz and I also used to play at WC back in its GJ days. XD I'm bringing in one old character (my very first WC character - rebooted, since the last time I played him here was in, oh, 2006?) and one new one, because I still can't resist the lure of moar characters.
The first is Jean-Paul Beaubier/Northstar (i_likeitfast) of Alpha Flight/X-men fame. He's known for being very speedy, very snarky and rather showy. He's also very proud of being French-Canadian, and has never understood why he "should" have to hide being who he is. He's too prickly to really play well with others, but since he's basically a superhero for hire, he's learned to at least be tolerant and sometimes actually makes friends. A warning: I know very little French - nevermind Canadian French - so if he ever does use random words, I will be resorting to Google Translate. Sorry, French-knowers! Northstar has been brought to the City in the midst of a search for his missing twin sister, fellow Alpha Flight member Aurora, who has seemingly vanished into a demon world.
(And Marty, in JP's homeverse, Dr. Strange was the one opening portals to demonworlds to find Aurora, so... JP is probably not too pleased with him at the moment. Not that he's ever very pleased with anyone. >.>)
My second character is Nigihayami Kohakunushi, but you can call him Haku or Kohaku (i_knowmyname) and he is the dragon boy from Spirited Away. 'Dragon boy' is misleading, as he's really a centuries-old river spirit/guardian who takes the shape of a dragon, though he is also comfortable in a human form. He has limited defensive/evasive magical abilities, but when one can turn into a nearly-immortal dragon with big claws and teeth, running away often isn't necessary. Still, he's a pretty nice guy and though he could hate humans for destroying his river and leaving him homeless for the forseeable future, he doesn't. He'd rather just find something else to do. Because he cannot speak while in his dragon shape, I figure he'll be spending most of his time in the City as a human, but we'll see!
I have work tomorrow, but in the evening, I'll be aiming to get a post up at least for Jean-Paul, or reply to someone's open log - if anyone wants to interact with either of these guys in particular, just let me know! I can also be found for plotting/etc. at yeouya on AIM.
