what are your favorite moments for the character(s) you write, from canon? bonus points for youtube clips of anyone from tv or movies.

i'm really curious, given that i'm sure we all have favorite parts of these books and movies and stuff. please share!

Harl is just too awesome... I ended up with like fourteen clips. So. I'll just say that pretty much the entire episode of Harley's Holiday, anything with Poison Ivy, and the scene where she's attempting to seduce the Joker with a whoopee cushion. ("Aw, c'mon Puddin', doncha wanna rev up your Harley? VROOOM VROOM!")

And then there's this little bit. I love her absolute lack of impulse control.

Aziraphale gave Crawly a worried grin.

"That was the best course, wasn't it?"

"I'm not sure it's actually possible for you to do evil," said Crawly sarcastically. Aziraphale didn't notice the tone.

"Oh, I do hope so," he said. "I really do hope so. It's been worrying me all afternoon."

They watched the rain for a while.

"Funny thing is," said Crawly, "I keep wondering whether the apple thing wasn't the right thing to do, as well. A demon can get into real trouble, doing the right thing." He nudged the angel. "Funny if we both got it wrong, eh? Funny if I did the good thing and you did the bad one, eh?"

"Not really," said Aziraphale.

Crawly looked at the rain.

"No," he said, sobering up. "I suppose not."

I think my favorite is in her userinfo. That moment where even the vampires are like, facepalming because of Mona's words. Haha.

This would be it:

"Now, let me see," she said. "We have three human beings." She put the glasses in front of Stirling, Michael, Dolly Jean, and Rowan. "Oh, no, four human beings. Okay, now here you are, all human beings have glasses."

Her behavior in that whole scene makes me snicker.

Also when she's thrown out for being a whiny bitch/for insulting Lestat, and he keeps yelling at her to leave as she's running out. I'm not gonna quote it because A) I don't have the book here with me, unfortunately, and B) I think you'd already know which part I'm referring to?

i didn't realize, asking this question, that in order for me to answer for lestat, i'd have to take about a five-month sojourn and use it to re-copy all the parts of the books i love.

so i'll do the short version... there are a few quotes i remember verbatim.

- i'll hit you david, and you won't like it. you're too dignified to like it.

- talking to the box with nicki's violin in it, after it's sent to him because nicki went insane and threw himself in the fire.

- 'don't be a fool for the devil, darling, unless he treats you a damn sight better than the almighty!'- to eleni, of the paris coven, after meeting her

- the lengths that he goes to NOT to be alone; specifically, the lengths he goes to to keep louis with him

- the entire relationship/interaction with quinn.

	My favorite exchange in the comics is the one between Gert and Molly Hayes, in the first story arc. I can't recall the exact text, but the gist is that Molly wants to 'talk about her body' and Gert flat-out refuses to have the awkward puberty discussion. From Two Hearts, the sequel to The Last Unicorn.

I didn't see if the unicorn said good-bye to Molly and Schmendrick, and I didn't see when it went away. I didn't want to. I did hear Schmendrick saying, "A dog. I nearly kill myself singing her to Lir, calling her as no other has ever called a unicorn - and she brings back, not him, but the dog. And here I'd always thought she had no sense of humor."

But Molly said, "She loved him too. That's why she let him go. Keep your voice down." I was going to tell her it didn't matter, that I knew Schmendrick was saying that because he was so sad, but she came over and petted Malka with me, and I didn't have to. She said, "We will escort you and Malka home now, as befits two great ladies. Then we will take the king home too."

"And I'll never see you again," I said. "No more than I'll see him."

Molly asked me, "How old are you, Sooz?"

"Nine," I said. "Almost ten. You know that."

"You can whistle?" I nodded. Molly looked around quickly, as though she were going to steal something. She bent close to me, and she whispered, "I will give you a present, Sooz, but you are not to open it until the day when you turn seventeen. On that day you must walk out away from your village, walk out all alone into some quiet place that is special to you, and you must whistle like this." And she whistled a little ripple of music for me to whistle back to her, repeating and repeating it until she was satisfied that I had it exactly. "Don't whistle it anymore," she told me. "Don't whistle it aloud again, not once, until your seventeenth birthday, but keep whistling it inside you. Do you understand the difference, Sooz?"

"I'm not a baby," I said. "I understand. What will happen when I do whistle it?"

Molly smiled at me. She said, "Someone will come to you. Maybe the greatest magician in the world, maybe only an old lady with a soft spot for valiant, impudent children." She cupped my cheek in her hand. "And just maybe even a unicorn. Because beautiful things will always want to see you again, Sooz, and be listening for you. Take an old lady's word for it. Someone will come."
