i_disappear Rest and Relaxation (Open)
Darien had the day off from work, and he was fully planning on taking advantage of his free time. The endless string of petty crime and minor break-ins he kept being assigned to were threatning to drive him nutty. He missed having a challenge. That was why he took up thieving in the first place - for the thrill, having the only thing between freedom and doing time being good luck and his own skill. Even his time at the Agency hadn't been boring. In fact, it had been anything but boring. This whole being-a-detective thing? It was like the desk job version of being an agent. The DeCosta case was the most fun he had in a long time, even if he had ran into one of those 'superheroes' the papers were always going on about.
But, you know what? Today was officially for goofing off. He didn't want to think about work, or the Agency, or anything at all. Darien had intended on walking around the City some so he'd know where more stuff was, and this was the perfect opportunity. For once, he didn't care about where the shifting streets might lead him.
He sucked noisily on the cappuccino smoothie he had bought earlier, looking through the metal bars of the fence he was strolling past. The City Park lay beyond it, looking like just about every other big-city park he had ever seen, except for the fact that it didn't have very many people wandering around. Maybe they knew something that he didn't.

Harley was skipping about in the park searching for some fun when she spotted Darien. Her face brightened at the sight of him, and she ran over clapping her hands.
"Well well! Look who we have here, long time no see stranger!" She said grinning. "Big detective man now ain't ya? Probably forgot all 'bout me." She frowned a little, but her face quickly returned to a grin.

He turned when he heard that familiar voice, and couldn't help but grin at her a little. It was hard not to, with how energetic she seemed. "Hey, Harley!"
His grin faded when she mentioned his job. "Well, you know, that sort of just... happened. You don't have to worry about it. I'm still on the level."
"But what about you, huh?," Darien asked, looking her over. "I've been wondering where you've been."

She twirled around, "I've been here and there ya know everywhere!" She said smiling.
"I've missed you though!" She jumped up and down and then flung her arms around him. "Bet you didn't miss 'lil old me though." She was barley able to muster a fake frown due to her own hyper energy.

"Aw, hey, that's not true," he said, hugging her somewhat awkwardly with his free arm. "It gets pretty boring without you around." Which was the absolute truth, considering how she likes to do things like blow your door in. Not that he was still upset about that or anything.
Darien stepped back, then, taking a quick look around to make sure there wasn't anyone too close by. "So you really don't care that I'm working for the cops? I was worried that there'd be... issues."

"Cops shmops! Forget them! They just rain on my parade! But we can still have fun right? Or does it mean you have to be the party pooper now?" She winked at him and put her hands on her hips.
She noticed him looking around and flipping her hair back said, "Don't wanna be seen with me? I can leave if ya want..." She turned on her heal and began to walk off, hopeful that he'd stop her.

"Hey, that's not it," he protested, moving to follow her. "I can get a little paranoid sometimes. It's habit." When you're used to possibly being followed, it's a good habit to have. This time, though, Darien just wanted to make sure no one would overhear them.
Someone finding out that he was hanging out with Harley Quinn would make things a lot more complicated than they needed to be.
"You're right about that, you know. We can still have plenty of fun."

"Yay!" She moved from one foot to another happily.
"So....what should we do?" She asked looking at him like a little excited child.
"Unless of course you can't do things with me now, now that you're a paranoid copper!" She said giggling.
