i_cankill It looks normal... -open-
Go home...now. . Gladly, he would go home, he would run through the front door and get them out of a city that was under attack, but this just wasn’t… anywhere near home. He had left his father behind, to fight a battle without him, and the streets were in chaos, the path that would lead him to his destination overpowered with white fog. Not even he could make out what stood before him and soon enough he could rely on nothing but his senses, hoping that they would lead him…. somewhere.
Naturally it didn’t take a genius to see that he never did make his way to that door, the one which would take him straight to his family. That stubborn fog eventually vanished, but when that happened the familiar territory of Los Angeles was nowhere to be seen, as if it too had disappeared along with the substance that had once stood in his way.
If anyone knew about being thrown into an unfamiliar dimension it was Connor, after all, he had been raised in one of many. But this was different; this was no desert filled with demons. Cars flew past and pedestrians filled corners and café’s.
Blue eyes observed, tried to make sense of the current situation, a confusing situation. Underneath of him there was a sidewalk and to his back there was a building, all normal, but not where he wanted to be.
“Well this is just… great,” be muttered, throwing his head to the side to gaze curiously at an approaching male, who soon passed without a word.

And that might have been that. The devil himself passed the boy and barely thought anything of it until. He stopped and looked back, having caught a curious scent on his nose.
"Beg your pardon, did you say something?"
There was something unique about the boy, certainly. His head canted to the side as his eyes looked the stranger up. Certainly someone new to the city, at least that much was obvious. He looked like a college Freshman gawking during a campus tour. It made Lucifer smile ever so slightly.
He didn't smell human or demon or undead (and thank god for that -- the undead smelled the worst). He did smell vaguely of sulfur. The Devil guessed he hadn't been to any Hell world recently but...
The Devil's stare was intense.

Did he say something? Well, yes he did say something, although he couldn’t see why some strange man was asking that of him. Usually, at least in LA, you said something and people closed their ears, not hearing or choosing to down right ignore you. One just got used to it after the millionth time. That’s how things went, naturally.
“No, just talking to myself… I guess,” he replied, feeling rather out of place, like a freshman during his first day amongst those who knew exactly where to go and what to do. In a way this felt very much like that very first day back to the human dimension, but with a knowledge of cars and buildings, along with human beings who were not at all like the demons he had become accustomed to.
And no, he would not smell of the undead, which was something of a mystery, being that both of his parents could be classified in that category. The human scent wouldn’t be found on him either, and although Lorne’s ant-violence spell had detected him as a demon, he was far from that too. But oh well, that didn’t matter right now, now did it?
For a moment, or two, he stared. This man was no vampires either, no was he a demon of any kind. “You know, actually, I think I’m kina lost… or just somewhere else.”

"Everyone here is, so I suppose you'll fit right in."
The Devil looked at Connor with an appraising stare. Taking a few steps closer, he was most certain that this individual had been to a Hell at some point in his life. Perhaps Morpheus should have taken this boy with him, though Lucifer severely doubted that the Lord of Dreams had chosen anyone to come with him.
Large, black wings stretched out from behind his back. Demons would be able to see them, mortals and vampires would not, though some varieties of undead would. He was trying to get a feel for what the boy was.
"Perhaps I could ask your name?"

“I don’t know about that. The last time I found myself in a new place, things didn’t work out very well.” Not at all actually; it was a complete disaster, like throwing a kitten into a pen full of hungry pit-bulls and then expecting him to get along. But things had changed now didn’t they? And perhaps this experience would be different.
Quor'Toth was anything but a fluffy paradise; it was a hell dimension if there ever was one, filled with hot weather, demons and a vampire hunter with his supposed son. The memories of fighting, never-ending training and brutal stories of his father came to him like a bad dream, something that was in the past, but lingered brightly nonetheless.
He was cautious of the stranger, knowing well that he was no human being. And the sudden appearance of those wings only proved him to be right in his thinking, which forced his thoughts to move fast and bring forth that guard.
“Connor… and who are you… or what?” Curiosity and a sense of darkening wonder filled his jumbled mind, and although the boy looked pleasant enough, it would take only one wrong move to change that.

The Devil smiled as though he were pleased with the boy's ability to see through his mortal guise. But Lucifer did love to smile.
"Well met, Connor. While we could get into a philisophical debate over who I am, you may call me Mr. Lux if you like, or just Lux if Mr sounds too formal for your tastes. As to what I am, I could ask you the same but I suppose I might satisfy your curiosity with an answer. Technically I am a fallen angel. I'm afraid there are no guardians here."
Lucifer scratched his chin thoughtfully, though there was not a hint of stubble, "I suppose you'll be needing a place to stay? At least, temporarily? I would love to pick your brain, metaphorically speaking of course."

Wow, wouldn’t his father just be so proud of him, talking to The Devil and all (not that he knew who the guy was or anything). “If you did ask me what I was, I couldn’t tell you anyway.”
It really was odd how no one could truly place him, even when they tried their hardest to think of a title that would fit.
“I’ve run into a lot of things, but never an angel, fallen or otherwise. But I suppose there are demons here? Vampires?” Would that excite him? Maybe it would, or perhaps he would only grow wary with the news. He wasn’t at all sure if he wanted to face any of them again, although that part of him, that piece that had once lived in hatred, would surely love to hunt, as if nothing had changed.
“Yeah, I probably will need a place. But I can take care of myself. I’m rather good at that… I think.”
