i_countcalories Operator, can you help me? [Open to Oracle]
Takes place after this.
Beetle watched the familiar yet an alien figure slink back into the night. So this was how the Batman was like about... maybe a decade ago? Ted could barely remember being that young. Okay, he did remember being that young, and having a metabolism that worked wonderfully until just a few years ago. The heart seemed to be ticking fine, usually there would be something wrong right now; normally a rapid increase of his heart beat.
He patted his chest once, shaking is head and spoke hesitantly into the communicator. “So am I talking to a good witch or a bad witch?” The brunet hoped it was the Barbara he was familiar with, or one with enough shared history not to feel so alone. He’d have to ask if Barbara had any idea how they got there. Ted’s hope for getting out of this city was becoming increasingly low, if Barbara and Batman were planting roots.

"It's Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Otherwise known as Oracle," Babs answered, smiling on her side of the line. She recognised Ted's voice, was almost expecting it to come through being that he'd met up with Batman earlier. Luckily he'd trusted Ted enough to leave him with the secure line communicator.
"Hello, Beetle," she said. "Welcome to the City."

“Yeah, thanks, the place is just screaming for urban renewal. You would think, if people are stuck here forever, they’d have a better name for this place. 9th Layer of Hell, maybe?” Beetle climbed up the fire escape, a wave of relief washing down his stomach even if it was all alien. A familiar friendly voice.. “Neo Lalapalooza?”
He came to the roof of the building, and spotted the doorway that lead to the stairway. The gunfire seemed to be fading, giving him a quick chance to find wherever he needed to go. “Y’know, I can’t even remember the last time Bats being so uh... nice? I think that’s the freakiest thing that’s happened to me here so far. So, you’re gonna give me the 411?”

"Neo Lalapalooza? It wouldn't fit on my maps," Babs smirked. She felt herself relax slightly. Talking to him was much different than directing Batman.
She turned to her computer, tapping into the frequency of the communitcator he was using and pulling him up on the map so that a small blue dot represented where he stood. "Keep the communicator, alright? I've got it acting as a tracer for you, I'm trying to keep track of everyone. I'll fill you in on what you've missed, yes, but how long have you been here?"

“Apparently your mad hacker skills, and that’s with double Xs and a Z, respectively, has drooped since last we spoken and cannot break the character limit for that mappy thingy you do.” Beetle moved quickly down the stairs and to the door of the building, giving a cheerful smile to the broad eyed tenet who gaped at the strange man in blue.
“I’ve been here about a half day, or a day, I didn’t take too much notice to when I got here. I was in the Swiss Alps and uhm... well, I figure since I haven’t seen the Swiss Miss, I’m not in the Alps.” Out the door of the building and onto the street. “And lucky for us, ‘Glinda’, I didn’t check out to see if there’s an off switch or not.”
