Serena looked up from the pile of papers that she had been going over. The sound of her son's voice was still something that she wasn't quite used to yet. She had gone for so long not knowing what Noah sounded like that hearing him still sent a jolt through her system, but she didn't visibly react.
Instead, she smiled curtly at him and nodded. "Hello, Noah. I'm doing well. How are you?" she asked politely. "Why don't you have a seat?" she added, lifting her hand in invitation.
