Todd rolled his eyes, but it was with definite affection and fondness for Winifred, not actual dismissal or disdain. "Actually, I think I might be less crazy than you remember. I'm getting old," he pointed out, laughing a bit. "It's my life that's gotten crazier. I don't even know where it all comes from." He wasn't even sure how to begin to explain it all, but he knew Winifred would badger him until he got it all out, so there was no point in trying to resist.
When she sat, he curled up on the couch himself, tugging his feet up underneath his body, and getting into a comfortable storytelling position. "Semi-sabbatical? How does that work?" he questioned. "Isn't it like being pregnant? You can't be just a little bit on sabbatical?" He laughed. "And it had better not take a year, I won't be able to stand the sound of my own voice for that long!" He sighed. "But anyway. As you might have guessed, this is about a guy. Because, you know, it always is."
