Harriet P. Quincy, 82, of Lake Flannery Township, died Friday, January 30th, at home, surrounded by her children. Born here in Lake Flannery, Harriet was a beloved elementary school teacher for 42 years. She began teaching in 1950 at the age of 23, and retired at the age of 65 in 1992. She taught first, fourth, and fifth grades, and was best known for her after school story hour, which she conducted in the school gymnasium once a month. Visitation will be held at Lake Flannery Funeral Home from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, February 1st. A funeral will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 2nd.
