Calista's mind had imagined a multitude of different things happening in the next few moments. First was bandits, the ever present danger that made her mind race back to her childhood and how horribly that had gone for her family. Second was her husband, which would go horribly for her. Third was some random commoner who may try to steal her horse, but would be unable to because a running human couldn't keep up with a running horse. She got as far as the third option before she spotted the rider, though it took another moment for her mind to actually catch up with what she was seeing and put a name to the face.
"Hello Priya," Calista returned, surprise clear in her tone. "I... I can honestly say I was not expecting to see anyone I know out here this morning. What brings you into the woods?" She couldn't deny that she was pleased. Had it been any of the other options, most especially her husband, Calista's morning would have been ruined. A chance encounter with the pretty woman she had chanced across in the markets was another story entirely. A much better one.
