Outside of work, Orpheus' general philosophy in life can be summed up as: I can't be fucked. He's laid-back, very rarely serious about anything and often uses dry/sarcastic humor with deadpan expressions.
He's attracted to and excited by possibility. Dissatisfied with the tried and true, Orpheus needs to do things for himself - go somewhere new himself, try new foods himself. He thirsts for new and engaging experiences, partly why RAC is such a good fit for him. You can't get bored in RAC, right? At the same time, he's very much the kind of man who lives in the here and now, and isn't all that great at planning for the future. Spontaneous and not always great at communicating what his plans are (mostly because he doesn't have any), it's not uncommon for Orpheus to just get up in the middle of doing one thing and distract himself with something else because he'd just thought of it.
However, he is proud and almost never apologises even when he knows he's in the wrong. And being in the wrong isn't hard when it comes to Orpheus: he can be outspoken or talk without thinking, rub people the wrong way. It's not that he means to be a dick, he just doesn't think.
When it comes down to it, though, Orpheus is not a bad person. He doesn't harbor any particular ill-will towards other people. He's just selfish, lazy, forgetful (and will probably forget people's names, even if he's met them before). He's bound to grow up eventually. Just not yet.
