Are they going to kill one another now? Is something making them turn on one another that we can't see? He couldn't have just...why would he do that?

Tom has been trained all his life to hate vampires. Even with me it took him a long time and only then because of shared experiances. This truce, while needed, is hardest I think, on those like him. Those who have known no other life. In that world it seemed he had a chance, do what is natural to him, believing I suspect that Elijah would return but he would have proven a point. As he has not, it is now a problem.

I wonder if this was two days ago would we be having this discussion.

	I never knew he was trained to kill anyone. I know he does hunts. Lydia and him were supposed to be on one. He's the boy who works at my shop and enjoys Jesse's company. I don't see how the number of days has anything to do with killing another person. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Yes, he is. And that has not changed. But he truly does despise vampires, frankly he has good reason. I believe his friendship with me is the only exception to that rule, and even then he kept stakes around for most of our friendship. Just in case, and ultimately he was proven right about me too.

Because before then people got up a few hours later. So no one questioned it

It simply doesn't make sense to me. I don't like vampires or people who take from the Santas who ring the bell for money but that doesn't mean one should kill them because an opportunity presents itself. Not if they are not hurting anyone..and even then that is why we have police or what Rose was wanting to do.

Have the others killed one another? I haven't seen it but I might have missed it. I know others have died but I did not think any of our own were hurting one another. Just the things they were facing were killing them.

So think about this.

You're used to being different, different senses, different way of thinking. Then you wake up in a hell. You wake up where everything around you is designed to kill you and those senses you've come to rely on are gone. You surrvive but its not the same. Its not right.

Then think about panic, running, death all around you. And then there's the thing you were trained to hate, trained to hunt. And its one of the ones that can't be killed only maybe now it can be, maybe now, even here in this horrible place you can be who you were raised to be. You take an action, you don't think of the concequences, you don't think of anything beyond that there is one less threat in the world.

I'm not defending it. I'm explaining it. I'm close to Katherine after all.

But no, Tom is not the first to take a life.
