Alright, I get that he's lost someone important to him. He is not the first and he won't be the last. And I know well that people react in different ways.

But he doesn't feel right or healthy right now, and I won't have him pandered to to the exclusion of his health. Do you understand me?

I can sense its gotten bad but I need details. And once I have those I want a plan in place.

	Are you ever going to quit treating the whole of Lawrence like juveniles? "Do you understand me"? My own mum didn't talk to me that way. That being said, Kon does need help. I'm just not sure what to do about it. (Reply to this) (Thread)

Are you ever going to accept that this is me being friendly. You've seen the worst side of me. I know that. I'm never going to be that again but you have to accept that I probably won't be a ray of sunshine either. And I'm worried about him?

Besides, even worried, the old me would have tried to deal with it myself. And failed misrably.

Which is why I'm asking those that know him best. What's been going on, what have friends seen, what have Lois and Clark seen, what can we put together and what can we formulate from all of that information to help him.

Perhaps I wasn't overly polite about it but the point remains.

Actually, I am rather amazed and pleased you're taking the initiative.

I don't think it takes that much research, Jacen. He's hurt. He told me he's done fighting and god help me, I get it. I declared the same thing not that long ago. He's tired of giving and giving to this fight only to have the things and people he cares about taken away.

And before you say it, yes, I know he has other friends and loved ones. He knows that, too. But now there's just a lingering fear they're going to get taken, too.

Really, are you going to start with me on this?

I'm not expecting him to be alright tomorrow. I want to make sure he is physically well enough to begin to recover and right now, he's not, is he?

You can tell me my feelings are wrong. But they're not.

I'm not going to tell him to get over it, or to stop missing those that have gone. But right now, I'm more worried about if he's able to have enough energy to even consider letting people help him.

	Considering he's depressed, yes, he's not right or healthy right now. He's lost a lot of people and Connor was the last straw for him. Add on the fact he's never been good at handling his emotions and it's extra difficult for him. With Kon, mostly it's been being there for him, working to get him to eat, and making sure I know where he is. Do you have suggestions? (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I just worry people are putting it all down to that? This guy works off emotions, and by what I remember if he doesn't keep fuelled bad things happen. I'm worried he's falling apart and people are assuming he's just upset. My question was do the rest of you have suggestions and so far I've mostly gotten attacks (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

He's got new gear that helps him filter sun into him better if I remember correctly. Because he doesn't absorb it as well as Clark does and he needs it.

He is falling apart, Jacen. He doesn't want to trust anyone or get close to anyone right now because he thinks he's going to lose them. Something he's experienced repeatedly so he already knows how high of a possibility it is. Unfortunately none of us can do a thing about that. We can't control the seal.

There's talking to Claire, but I'm not sure Kon would do it. I was thinking of another trip out of town as a family again. It helped him last year after we had to deal with evil Clark. Other than that and just being there for him I'm out of ideas.

Physically, I have all of his vitals and data recorded back at my Fortress. Beyond that, Kon has a lot of emotional grief that he needs to work his way through and there's no test or forced amount of exposure to the sun that will ever be able to hand him an instant fix to that.

He needs support from his friends and he needs the knowledge that we aren't going to abandon him. With the Seal being as unpredictable as it is, we can't provide him with the latter. That's why I think that he needs to accept the fact that we're all not going to be here forever. It's not something that any one of us want to think about, but it's a hard truth. Without it, we'll all suffer more and more every time one of us is taken away.

	That's the thing. With stuff like this? There's no real fix, other than time and support. You can't do something any more active than that. It's not like a math formula, where if you do it right, you get the same answer every time. It's emotion. He is shaken. That won't be fixed overnight and a lot of the change will need to come from him.

We can offer no assurance the seal won't take it. To anyone. We've all lost people to it. We will likely lose more. Only finding a way to accept what you have now will ease that. He worries about what ifs.

As for food that should improve with his mental state. It is provided to him, so it company but if he refuses he won't die. He will be weakened but he knows that. It's a symptom of his distress.

There are no promises we can give about staying. We can only say 'I am here now' and encourage him to take that gift.
