The only one of us who is probably safe from that is Elijah. They like him, and his bloodline.

Which, really, they're unlikely to go for Nik directly since that would also take out the Salvatores and Caroline.

You and me, Kol, we're the vulnerable ones. We don't have handy beloved offspring to protect us, and if they want something from Nik, they might decide that holding one or both of us hostage is the way to get him to behave. Ridiculous, of course, but they have limited ways of thinking.
