She was trying to reach out to a friend (and to be fair, you guys are literally identical; it's kind of scary how much so) and people deal with grief different ways, so what if hers is getting wasted out of her mind? I doubt that looking stupid is going to be on her mind even when she's sober, though, to be honest. It wouldn't be on mine.
