War Is Coming Communications.

Do you ever have one of those days that’s just really odd? Which, first day back at work, so I suppose I should’ve expected odd.

I woke up to a super dog eyeing my new shoes. Thankfully he vamoosed when he saw me glaring at him. He gets one pair of shoes to eat and that’s it.

But Allana, thank you for the different toys. I quite enjoy the one where I push a button and the little Superman figure goes shooting across the room. It became a fun game of how far can we get the little guy to sail across the room. We’re easily amused in the bullpen. Jerry won. He was surprisingly good at it. I’m pretty sure he owns one at home.

And then I got to take a Kryptonian for a tattoo--cause you know he’s 18 now and can make his own decisions and I’ll back that up because adult or whatever--and what does he go and do?! He passes out on me. Yeah, Kon, I’m not doing that again so find someone else to bring you for the coloring. And no, you can’t borrow my kryptonite for it either.

The nice part of the day had to be coming home to a box of maple donuts in front of the door. Which, thanks, Stiles, but you owe me two more because I do believe the box says there are supposed to be six and there were four. I take donuts very seriously.

I hope the rest of you are having a pretty good year so far.

And Robin, I bought Marian a shiny new copy of Dirty Dancing. You’re welcome.

Not that I exactly mind not being in the desert fighting chaos gods and dealing with potentially awkward situations with adorable guys, but I'm getting seriously bored and please tell me I can actually go to school here. Words I thought I'd never say but I have to get out of this flat or I will potentially go mad.

NYE was actually fun, thanks to you. We should do that again sometime. We don't even have to let a holiday give us an excuse if you don't want to wait.

I have to say, I quite enjoyed the Christmas celebrations, despite the fact that some people were less than excited to be celebrating. And the one to ring in the new year was interesting, though I'm not sure I entirely understand what a ball covered in crystals and lights is supposed to do to represent the changing of the calendar year.

Now, which holiday is next?

I am not nearly as happy as I should be. What is wrong with me? I have beautiful and healthy grandchildren, a daughter who is every bit as wonderful as she refuse to believe, and I'm surrounded by my family.

These feelings? They aren't right.

My house is just about ready. I think it's actually to the point where I'm willing to go on and start staying there.

Er, hello. I was told that you put some of the wards on the complex? I was wondering if there's any chance I can get you to do the same for my new house. I've got a lot of family staying there with me and I just want it to be as safe as possible.

Is there anything special that we gotta do for Valentine's Day? Christmas and New Years were fun enough, though the stuff on the TV weren't nearly as pretty and interesting for new years eve. I only liked some of the music, really.

I wanna go to the bars and clubs that some of the people here own and stuff too sometime. Maybe, Simon, Jayne, or the Captain might come with me, if I can talk one of them into it!

Well, that was fun! Especially going to the clubs. And the music, awesome. Good times. May the rest of the year continue to be so. Curious to see what the next holidays will bring. :)

And good news. I just saved a load of car and broom insurance by switching to Geico. Haha, kidding. Seriously, I do have a good update now. After being out searching for the week and it was cold, good thing I used warmth charms and bundled up clothes, I believe I've found a good spot for a Quidditch Pitch. Managed to find an open field area about ten or fifteen miles west of the the main complex. Seems large enough area for the matches too, made sure to do the measurements first. So.. is this good? I can keep looking for another one, there's probably a few other spots that might be used, but thought this one was nice. Or will be when the snow is gone Of course there will be the next steps of shielding it from muggles, or at least the normal natives of this world (wouldn't want any passing planes or sats up in space to see it either).

Maybe another idea to have some kind of magic ring charm around it, something like.. only those who step inside it can see, but anyone outside just see open land, in case we'd like for some of our muggle friends to come watch it. Or maybe participate eventually, with training Or something, whatever will work. But yeah.. this is progress, I suppose.
