HIGH SCHOOL CLOSED AFTER STUDENTS ARE STUCK ON ROOF

A local public high school in Lawrence, Kansas today was shut down today when 6 students were found stuck on the rooftop. School officials were unable to reach them after nearly 2 hours of trying to break down the apparently sealed door to the roof. The fire department was eventually called in around noon where the boys were finally rescued. Confusion still remains as to how the boys wound up on the rooftop in the first place.

The boys in question are Joshua Rogers, 17, Mark Lewis, 18, Kevin Greene, 18, and 3 other sophomore boys whose names were not released. After an intense round of questioning, it seems that the boys are unable to recall ever actually going up onto the roof, though this is speculated to be an attempt to get out of trouble.

"Joshua is always pulling stunts like this to get attention," one student said. "He's a notorious troublemaker."

But even if the boys did get up onto the roof on their own, officials have still yet to determine how the door was sealed shut. It seems that once the boys had been removed from the rooftop, the door was able to open again as if nothing had been blocking it in the first place.

Students at the high school were confined to their homerooms until noon when they were finally released to head home for the day. An investigation is still ongoing, though drugs are said to possibly have played a role.
