Clark flashed Tim a bright smile as soon as he opened the door. He wasn't the type of person that could be typically defined as bright and cheerful all the time, but he could most certainly be friendly when it came to some of the people that he had gotten to know around the apartment building. Tim had turned out to be one of them. He didn't know of Tim Wayne as well as things seemed to work out the other way around, but he was hoping that he'd eventually be able to. By doing this, coming along to help the kid figure out what the status was on the gift that he'd been working on was, Clark thought that it would be a good way to get some groundwork on that.
His much taller form stepped inside after him, pausing momentarily to shut the door behind them both. Clark briefly took note of the music playing in the background; he didn't know of the band terribly well, but Clark could somewhat recognize the sound. The Clash, maybe? Shrugging, he followed Tim across the room. It was a nice living area for someone Tim's age. Not exactly a place of perfection, but it sort of reminded him of his loft. With a lot more electronics and a lot less hay and animals to tend to. For a kid his age? Yeah, Clark could see how something like this would work. Even though it was a lot cleaner than he imagined most kids his age would keep it. Then again, Clark had been somewhat neat himself at his age. He supposed it depended on a persons preferences.
"Nice place you have here," he commented, "it's actually a lot cooler than mine is." Clark's apartment was fairly simple. TV set, coffee pot, bed, couch, refrigerator. He didn't need much. He had been raised on a farm, not the Luthor mansion. Once he found the desk that Tim was leading him to, Clark looked down at the shield before them, brows knitting together curiously as he leaned down to examine the object. It was nicely cut. And the symbol was perfect. Clark didn't even have to think on it before he was turning back to Tim, looking somewhat excited himself. Excited for Kara, that was. This was just the sort of thing he could imagine her investing in. Something special. Unique. And, most importantly, something that tied straight back into their heritage. Clark might not have agreed with everything about their past in the same ways that Kara had, but he knew that, for her, this would be special. Perfect, even. "You were worried about this? Are you kidding me?" Clark laughed, reaching forward to clap a hand onto Tim's shoulder. "She is going to love this. No, really."
