Who: Tim and Dawn
What: puppy walking.
When: Sunday afternoon, before THIS
Where: probably the streets and then some random park?
Warnings: uhm..potential for cute. so none. o.0 unless you fear kids being all cute and stuff.

Tim waited in the lobby like he said he would. Puppy weaving and wiggling between his feet, leash around his ankles and all. Little thing was hyper. Oliver had called it Artemis. He'd have to remember the name. Though it could have been worse knowing GA's sense of humor. He would have called it Tim or something just to irritate him. He wouldn't put it past him. Not that he was any better with names. His dad tried to get him a cat once, which he fondly named Cat. So he couldn't really fault Oliver to much.

Looking down at his ankles all wrapped up in puppy leash he started to untangle it when the creature to advantage and jumped onto his thighs, knocking him down to the floor crawling into his lap, front paws up on his chest and everything. Up in his face and licking, Tim tried to be annoyed but it failed and he found himself involuntarily amused. Puppies just had that kind of presence. But if Oliver asked him he'd deny it and deny it forever. He held the little critter in his arms and watched it stare at him with those dark eyes. His face was still a little bruised from where Buffy had nailed him, but it was starting on the mend. His chest still stung and the puppy reminded him to becareful. Picking him up and holding him at arms length he smirked as she refused to stay still.

Dawn was both excited and nervous. Sure, this wasn't the actual date itself. But it was still going out with a guy. Having fun. Meeting a puppy. She still had to make a good impression so she'd get to the actual real date. After changing clothes three times, she finally settled on a pair of stonewashed jeans and a dark blue top. She brushed her hair out and left it loose, glad it had decided to be a little wavy today, then headed out of her apartment. Since it was on the fourth floor, it took a little longer to get downstairs, but that gave her time to calm down.

When the teen finally reached the lobby, she smiled at the sight before her. Tim was holding the puppy away from him, but she could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't annoyed with her-only amused. The smile shifted to a grin as she walked over to where he was sitting on the lobby floor, and knelt down beside him to study the puppy.

"She's adorable."

Tim couldn't be mad. As annoyed as he wanted to be at Oliver just putting him down for dog walking duty the critter grew on him. "According to Queen, she can devour a cat. But in her case, I think it might be the other way around." He mused as Dawn joined him and he finally got to see her in person. She was pretty, beautiful really. And part of him felt a little nervous. He hadn't gotten a chance to just be Tim Wayne in..well, he couldn't really remember the last time he let go and just was a kid. Not prodigy detective. Now he had a chance and he didn't want to blow it.

"Her name's Artemis." When he first heard it, it didn't click. But then he remembered, goddess of the hunt. Arrows. Green Arrow, and Tim barely resisted rolling his eyes at the connection. "Wanna hold her? I think the only danger she is to anyone is slobbering them to death." He stated with a calm smile up at her, stormy blue eyes meeting hers with curiosity and warmth.

"I think that name suits her." Although after what she'd learned about Brynna, she wondered what she would think of the puppy's name. It might even be somewhat fitting, going by how her new friend-and twin-had described the 'real' Artemis.

"I'd love to!" Dawn's own bright blue eyes smiled into his as she held out her hands for the puppy. Once she was in Dawn's arms, she began to lick her face excitedly, causing Dawn to laugh. "She's great." She grinned at Tim over the puppy's head as she hugged her carefully, then looked down at Artemis. "Can she do any tricks yet?"

If Tim knew about the girl and her knowledge of real Gods and Goddess' he'd probably be taken aback. The entire universe was like that. Every day something new that he had no idea about before, or if anything had read in a storybook or fairytale somewhere, existed. He knew only lore and it got him in trouble at times. Considering lore didn't help against demons like Alastair. Dawn apparently knew alot about them, but being with her wasn't about pressing for information or analyzing, or any detective work what soever. Which was hard. His entire life he'd been playing kid detective. Discovering Batman's identity, taking up the role of Robin. Just being with someone without over analyzing was a feat for him. But he was trying, so that deserved some points right?

"Careful, she's wiggler." He grinned as he handed her the puppy and watched her with the little critter. "She likes you too." He smiled at her knowingly and stood. "C'mon, I think theirs a park a couple blocks away. " He made a mental note to tell Oliver the puppy needed toys to play with. But maybe they'd find another owner willing to share theirs.

"I'm glad." Dawn smiled and gave the puppy a gentle hug, then set her back down on the floor and straightened again. She grinned down as the puppy tried to run away but was brought up short by the leash Tim held-which thankfully didn't choke her.

"Great. I think she really wants to play outside." As if she knew. But she didn't care-it was a nice day out, which had to be perfect for a new puppy, right? Her attention returned to Tim as she smiled at him, then headed for the door and held it open for him and the puppy. "Ready when you are."

Tim watched Dawn with a calm smile. It wasn't just a front for once. This was his first official day of down time. So he really was calm and content. Not only that he got to spend it with someone his age.

"Me to. " Looking behind him for half a second he rolled his eyes and wondered if Oliver was going to count on him to walk that puppy every day. It wasn't so much that he minded being with the dog, it was that Oliver was just volunteering him for stuff. Batman would be furious considering the rivalry between him and Green Arrow. It was a generations old thing that Tim never really fully understood. "Lets get out of here, I've been indoors to long myself." He admitted with a shrug. Since his stint in the closet, he'd been feeling especially cooped up when kept inside to long. "You into music?"

Dawn nodded as they headed outside in response to his question. "Yeah. I love music. Some rock, mainly pop, though. And classical, for the ballet dancing." She had told him about that, right? Yeah, she was pretty sure she'd mentioned it.

"How about you?" She looked over at him curiously. She was severely dampening her desire to fangirl about all this, and figured since he wasn't weirded out, she was succeeding.

Tim didn't know she was a fan. She'd kept it pretty well under wraps, so he didn't really have any problem with it. If he did know he might have been a little wary. But he wouldn't have shunned it altogether. Tim watched the puppy as it roamed the edge of the sidewalk at the very end of her leash. Shaking his head and smirking. Adventurous. Leave it to Ollie to find the hyper one of the group.

"Mostly rock. The Clash mainly. I used to listen to them back home, Alfred would call it god awful American Noise." Tim mocked in a British accent and grinned. " That's how we knew it was good."

Dawn was watching the puppy as well, grinning. Artemis certainly liked pushing her boundaries! She didn't seem to mind that neither Tim nor Dawn seemed to want to walk quickly, earlier, which meant that their walk would last longer. That was kind of the point.

Dawn chuckled, looking over at Tim. "He sounds like Giles. Just as British, and just as much of a hater on American music. And food." She shook her head a bit. "The things that we had to talk him into eating...can you believe that he didn't like pizza for a long time?" Dawn was still sometimes amazed by that. Pizza was food of the gods. Especially anchovy pizza.

Longer walks were good. Longer walks meant more time to spend with Dawn, and he was happy to get it. And just maybe later he might even thank Oliver for putting him on puppy walking duty...maybe. He had to becareful with thanking Oliver. It could get messy because of all his smug.

"They should never meet. It would end so bad for us." He said with a serious face and tried to keep it straight but it failed. His features broke into a grin and he raised an eyebrow at her. "What?...That sounds like Alfred too. Must be a weird British and English thing. " He shook his head with awe at the similarities and looked curiously over at Dawn. "You wanna try walking her a bit?"

"Yeah...the big British thing is to not like pizza." Dawn nodded with a grin. That had to be it. It was a little strange hearing about Alfred in this way, but kind of fun, too. In a funny way, it was almost as if she knew him personally.

"Really?" She looked over at him, the grin softening into a bright smile. "I'd love to!" Was she really getting this excited over walking a dog? With Tim there...yes.
