She was talented. Right. He was sort of tempted to press the subject. Sam knew that there were a lot of 'talented' people around, but if she was verifying that sulfur was actually in there? Yeah, he'd want to know how she knew that. It was obvious that Kate had not been in the know when it came down to the demon situation inside prior to their run in, so what gave? "You got like a sixth sense or something?" That wasn't pressing, was it? Okay, maybe a little bit. But she couldn't just expect him to drop the subject, could she?
Sam wasn't a fan of the explanation that he was getting from her. Half demons? God-like demons? It sounded like an absolute nightmare. He was as close as a person got to a half demon around here. Half? More like a quarter. Maybe even less. Sam didn't want to think about it really. It made him all twitchy and uncomfortable. Using his abilities and embracing the entire demon blood (of which he could have used a fix for soon) thing was one thing. Thinking about the possibility of him being, in a way, one of them? No. Just no. "I can believe that. About the good or evil decision making. Not many people would, but..." Sam shoved a hand into his pocket, eying the building ahead with a frown. Not many people would be able to understand. Her world sounded a hell of a lot different than this one was, that was for sure. "What about you?" Sam looked back to Kate somewhat curiously. "Are you like...half demon or something?" Which would explain the supposed sixth sense he had questioned her about, wouldn't it?
At her question, Sam nodded. "Yeah, I am. I've got to. If I don't take care of these demons, they'll spread. And they'll probably try and get at the people who are staying in the apartments. Not something I'm willing to risk let happen."
