Who: Richie Foley and Virgil Hawkins
What: Security after Oliver's attack.
When: Late Evening, February 15, 2010
Where: Oliver, Bart and Virgil's place
Why: Becuase Virgil needs support, and that's what best friends are for.
Status: Open to Oliver, Claire and Bart (if he's finished his search) and anyone else who has reason to come to the apartment

It literally took him all of two seconds to grab his his coat (as he didn't have a sweatshirt yet) and dash over to the next apartment on the hallway. The door was open and he didn't even wait, just stepped inside, a bit worried that there would be blood all over the place or something, but Virgil was standing there at the door, and truth was that Richie wasn't sure how to handle this situation. So instead of pounding his hand - which seemed the wrong thing, he put an arm around his friend's shoulder and closed the door behind him.

He'd never been here before. Well...he hadn't really been out of his apartment yet. But it seemed that this was the worst possible circumstances that could have caused him to do it. All and all, he could tell that Virgil was very uncomfortable, scared would probably be the better word. He knew his 'brother' that well. And the fact that he'd been pulled here, found a sort of 'family unit' and then this happened? Richie could see it pretty clearly. This whole thing? He felt like an outsider, not exactly having an involvement but having enough of one to yell at the person who did this... who this 'Tim Wayne' was he didn't know; of course he knew the last name from back home, but it was a common enough name. He needed more information.

Richie swung his jacket over his free arm. "You okay?" he knew the answer already but it needed to be asked. This was not an easy night. When someone you cared about got shot... with their own toys?

Virgil was more or less in shock. He'd done everything he could think to do for Oliver before Claire got there, just sat with him, kept pressure on the wound. Cleaned it the best he could but didn't take out the arrow. He didn't think that was smart. The arrow being broken could have caused more blood loss. He hadn't moved Oliver, but he had a blanket around him though trying to make him as comfortable as possible until help got there.

There was blood on his hands from holding the wound as he stood infront of Richie feeling small and lost, Virgil didn't really notice it. He tensed for half a second as he felt the arm around his shoulders though, and just looked back at Oliver. "I'm not the one who got shot Rich." Humor had left his eyes. He knew Claire could fix it..at least, he hoped she could. But it was scary. For a minute he stood there with Richie trying to get his barrings back, but it didn't work. Oliver was hurt. By one of their own. By someone who he tried to help. Virgil felt sick. He numbly walked back to his side and sank down to it. Oliver had taken him in, treated him like family. Virgil just frowned.

"Robin did this."

Richie followed Virgil, putting his coat down on a chair, before following. He was half dressed and half in pajamas (not that anyone could really tell (given that he'd been getting dressed when Virgil put up the message and he didn't want to waste time]). Oliver looked bad. There was a blanket around him but he looked pale. He'd seen the man's picture in the papers back home, so he had a baseline comparison. He sat down next to Virgil, worried both for his friend and the man who had been taking care of his best friend (and had agreed to help him, which blew him away). But he wasn't prepared for what he heard.

Robin? Robin who? It took him a minute to comprehend just what Virgil was saying. So Tim Wayne was Robin the Boy Wonder. He filed that away but then mentally shook his head. "What?" How coudl that have happened? Had the Dark Knight's sidekick gone rogue? Drugs? What the hell was it?! "Robin? Gotham's Robin? He did this?!" It didn't make any sense. He was their age right? And from the message he'd written - Robin apparantly had written - he had sounded like he had no remorse! "It seems really out of character." he looked at Oliver, mentally willing him to wake up, but he didn't. Virgil hadn't answered his earlier question either. Another sign that he was very much not okay. Which is what Richie had expected. "So everyone is hunting Robin..." he murmurred, still looking at Mr. Queen. He had to wake up soon right? ...right?

This was probably one of the few times Virgil wasn't about to mock Richie for his half dressed self, any other night sure. But now it wasn't the time, he was more worried about what to do for Oliver than anything. And secretly worried about what Bart might do if he actually did catch Tim. How it would impact him really. Bart and Oliver were connected, but Tim also knew Bart, and Virgil knew there was something wrong with Robin or he wouldn't have done this. But that didn't excuse it. Oliver looked terrible, and Virgil for half a second wondered if he was going to make it. But Oliver was to stubborn to die. He knew that. Still since he arrived he'd kind of thought of the Green Arrow as invincible. This sort of rock that was always going to be there, and Virgil couldn't lose anymore rocks. He was quiet for the most part as he sat there, his clothing dirty with blood, not even trying to keep it clean anymore. Wishing he had paid more attention to health class, and wondering if any form of electricity could stop the blood. But he didn't chance it. He desperately wanted to but he refused to hurt him more than he was.

He looked over his shoulder at Richie and the expression in his eyes was just lost. "What I said about this place getting better? I think I lied." He tried to joke, but it failed. When Virgil couldn't tell a joke, the situation was bad. "Yeah..that Robin." He paused as he watched Oliver breathe. Making sure he still was and focusing on him for a minute, he looked up at Richie again. "Yeah..Who knows if they'll even find him."

Chloe hadn't been on the computer a lot during the day. A little busy trying to figure out what would get dried blood stains out of her mattress. With another product needing to soak in for a few minutes she had decided to finally check the boards. It took her less than a minute after reading Oliver was shot for her to pick up what was left of the gauze she didn't use on Damien's stab wound and find her way into her neighbor's apartment. Chloe didn't notice the guy who also came in a hurry and didn't change out of his pajamas. The only thing she saw was Oliver passed out with the arrow still piercing his skin. "Oliver.." Her heart sunk seeing Virgil covered in what she knew was Oliver's blood. Quickly she relieved Virgil from his duty, putting clean gauze where she could before applying the pressure. "Virgil, hold it again for a second. Both hands." It was hard seeing Oliver this way. She had patched him up before but nothing this serious. He was never knocked out..

Knowing one of the healers was on her way she checked Oliver's pulse not knowing how weak it might be based on the blood staining Virgil, Oliver and the apartment. He had time.. it wasn't strong, but the girl would be here soon. Chloe could use her power but best leave it to the girl who wont die of an empathetic injury. If it came too it and she took too long to get her.. Chloe would give her life for Oliver Queen. Even if she didn't get it back this time. But the healer... "Where is the girl? The healer?"

He didn't even have time to reply. The fact that Robin hd done this it blew his mind - but then a woman came running into the apartment. Who this woman was? What she was doing here? Richie had no idea. But all of a sudden she was here. Richie didn't know! But at the moment it wasn't important. Whoever this woman was she was right.

Virgil was shell shocked - no pun intended - he didn't need any more of this. While richie wanted nothing more than to calm his friend, he knew that that wasn't going to happen any time soon. And instead of Virgil getting more blood on his hands, Richie stepped in and put both his hands over the wound, wishing there was something he could do to give him piece of mind, but there wasn't. He looked at him over his shoulder trying to at very least get him to relax, but he knew there was no going.

Richie felt like he'd been thrown into the deep end of a pool, like he's started a comic mini-series at issue 6 and couldn't catch up. But he was trying. God knew he was trying. Who this woman was? He didn't know but that didn't matter. Frowning and trying to put more pressure on he heard the sound of mechanical legs moving, and BackPack came in through the open window. It settled on the floor next to Virgil, starting to make sounds, telling that it hadn't found anything. He was hoping to instal an emotional program on BackPack, but that took more time than he had right now and he hadn't perfected yet. Who was this woman, who was this healer? And didn't she have a name? He needed information.

If he had been prepared to die before, at the hands of dozens upon dozens of angry Kandorians, he wasn’t feeling that same rush of bravery now. There was no pumping of adrenaline through his veins, providing him with whatever courage he needed to face down death. His heart wasn’t pounding wildly, beating boldly within the confinement of his ribcage. He could feel it thudding weakly and his hand twitched on the floor, moving for the first time since he fell. There was red blood on that hand and underneath his fingernails from where he had grasped at the wound earlier, disbelieving and knowing at the same time.

Oliver opened his eyes long enough to look at them.

He saw, through the ache in his chest and the sharp pain that came from inhaling and exhaling, that he was not alone. Chloe’s presence assured him, somewhat lessened the discomfort. He locked his eyes on Virgil and took note of the blood that was his own. Richie, Oliver didn’t recognize but he could guess at who he was and have no problem with him being nearby.

Spending most of his energy on breathing seemed like the best thing to do. Virgil was right. He was too stubborn to die.

Richie had taken over for him but Virgil refused to leave Oliver's side. As scared as he was, it wasn't about him. It was worry for Oliver. He was trying to make him as comfortable as humanly possible but with an arrow in his chest it was tough. No matter the number of blankets they wouldn't mysteriously make the Just Been Shot feeling go away. He caught Richie's look and tried to offer a smile, but it didnt work. It was like he was running on auto pilot and just taking the necessary motions. Until his hands weren't on the wound did he finally sit down. Only a few inches from his friend and he took his hand trying to be some what comforting. "Don't try and talk, stupid..You'll need your strength for Guitar Hero, I promised I'd beat you again remember?" Though the voice wasn't mean or cruel, it was more endearing than anything. Squeezing his hand he frowned. "Claire's coming, you're gonna be okay." Talking to Oliver but pointedly Virgil looked up when Chloe called her "the healer, the girl" So she'd realize her name was Claire. Claire was a friend.

"I don't know, but she'll be here." His eyes narrowed at the blond and a barely there change in air density meant that Virgil was flustered and angry, and fifty kinds of upset. But he was coming out of his state of shock. Slowly, but better than not at all. A certain electrical vibe clung to the air around them for half a second, though it was likely that only Richie would recognize it. Only he'd been around Virgil long enough to have felt it before.

He knew that feeling. He knew it all too well. He put even more pressure on the would, careful not to push too hard, lest something break! He told himself that once this was done, he was taking a first aid course... if he could find one! This was just crazy. But he knew that feeling, that electricity.

Virgil was looking at the blonde whose name he still didn't have, but the question was it her that was causing this, just the situation? The air had been normal a moment earlier, and if he could have he'd have put a hand on Virgil's shoulder, but his hands were busy! And the blood wasn't seeping through his fingers, but it was starting to seep through the gauze. But he was at least conscious now. Oliver that was. It was a plus... One thing Richie knew was that the heart had to stay regulated... He took a breath, mentally hoping that Virgil would calm down... But it wshowed that something was happening with him, that he wasn't as frozen now. But was it a good thing?

He hoped that the healer got here soon!

On Buffy's word Claire had run to the fridge she kept in her room for just this kind of emergancy and pulled out a syringe prefilled with her blood, she kept a few aside just in case. There were other healers here now of course but with the craziness in this place they could never be too sure. There was also possibly the fact of how long she'd been around. She hadn't hesitated, running quickly to Olivers room knowing just how fragile human life was even if hers wasn't. And Tim would never forgive himself if he'd killed Oliver.

She finally arrived at the door as she heard Virgil speak her name, reassuring Oliver she'd be here soon, and here she was.

Claire made her way across the room and pushed her way in toward Oliver, not pushing anyone aside but mearly asking them to give her a little room. She quickly assessed the wound, they had gauze and all sorts, and the arrow still in there. Claire readied the needle, this would have to be quick, she thought as she depressed the needle into the side of his neck, quickest route to the wound.

"This next bit will hurt a little" she told him by way of very quick warning, pulling the gauze away and with one quick sharp movement pulled the arrow free before the wound could close around it. It was gross when it did that. This done she sat back holding the arrow watching the wound close.

"You should be okay soon, just relax okay. You lost a lot of blood"
