Xander looked up at her when she began to gesture with a hand. He was no pro at sign language - unless one counted flipping the bird and a good old fashioned thumbs up - so he found himself shooting Star a look of pure confusion. "I'm sorry, I don't understand. Uh..." Xander glanced over his shoulder, wondering if she had any heating pads or anything like that in the apartment. He had no idea what his next step was going to be. Make her coffee? Hot chocolate? Soup? Crap. Xander wasn't the type of guy who took care of people. He was great at cheering them up when they were down, sure, but nursing them back to health? What would Willow do?
A spell. A bad spell. Filled with dark and evil things. Though according to Buffy, she eventually got over the dark Willow phase. Xander really hoped so, because there truly was nothing more traumatizing than having to face down his best friend when she was looking to destroy the entire world.
"I - uh..." Xander leaned back a little once he was sure that the blankets were okay. "I'm gonna help you, okay? Do you understand?"
