Star was still underwater, or, rather, was underwater again, she wasn't sure how long it had been, ten minutes, maybe fifteen, and she'd ducked herself as long as she could hold her breath four times, and she was working on the fifth. She wasn't sure if she could feel her fingers anymore, and was fairly certain she couldn't feel her toes.
The shivering had died away finally, or had at least evened out to a low-level tremor, enough to feel like she was in control of it, enough that she could feel her pulse radiating in her joints. She surfaced with another gasp, shaking her head like a dog that had just been splashed. She hadn't noticed yet that she had company, though it didn't take long, startling like a colt and jerking backwards, only then realizing that her arms were shaking too badly to get ahold of the towel, just sinking back into the water again, the blocks mostly melted, bumping against the sides of the tub and her drawn up knees.
