She'd managed to get out a couple days before, before they'd started with the heat-sensors, and she'd gotten a few large blocks of ice, initially intending to use them to help keep her food from spoiling, instead she was going to use it to escape. She thought it was a good plan, all in all, a few minutes in the bathtub with the blocks and the cold water and she'd only have core temperature left, the same as one of the machines, and if she was quick and if she was careful, she could get outside before they realized it.
Sure, she was a known member of the Resistance, but the ones here seemed different than the ones back home, it was possible it was a pocket of older models that didn't get automatic updates from the hive-mind and no one had come to manually update them with new information. She was eying the bathtub with some trepidation, but steeled herself a moment later, setting her clothes within reach, since she'd have to dress as quickly as she could with numb fingers. Time was not on her side for this, she knew that too long in the water and her body would shut down, not long enough and she'd still be too warm and she'd be spotted.
Deciding that she was probably dead either way, she shook her head, yanking her hair back into a low tail before she slipped into the water. She gasped sharply at the shock of cold, biting her lip to keep her jaw from chattering right off, fighting to keep her breathing stable, managing it after a moment before sucking in as deep a breath as she could manage in a chest that felt too tight, before she ducked her head under as well, counting backwards from sixty, she knew she could hold her breath that long.
