Booth was grumpy to say the least. The car ride was quiet, and all because Angela just happened to mention Sully. Honestly it could have been any of the men Bones dated, because they weren't him. But Sully struck a particular cord that hurt. He wasn't so sure he wanted to deal with it so pie and beer was a must if there was any hope in getting his mood to improve. Sinking into the chair across from Angela there was something deep in his eyes, something almost sad. Sully wasn't that great. Boat owning bastard.
Distractedly as the waitress came by he ordered a piece of blueberry and a beer. He really, really needed a beer. Had since he arrived in damn demon hell. He toyed with his fork and didn't meet Angela's eyes. "He wasn't that great.." Booth muttered to no one in particular with the look of a kicked puppy. It was no secret to anyone except Booth and Bones that they loved eachother. But Booth didn't want to risk hurting her, didn't know how to handle the situation at all, so he kept it quiet and just bit the inside of his cheek in annoyance.
