It sounded like whatever was making this place crazier than a mental institution had swept up her boy toy along with it. "So whatever was influencing him blocked his moral conscience," he said. The thought was followed by an idle shrug. "That was the majority of my coworkers and they weren't on anything." He found it ironic that a demon was worrying over something like that gone missing. More like the angel on his shoulder instead of the demon.
"Yeah, I was sent the link to that whole speech when I showed up. Just haven't felt like taking a trip inside to get that amulet." He left it at that, sliding his hands in his pockets as he waited for Ruby. He really didn't feel like having some unwanted accidental reunion. For now, the farther he stayed from certain people, the better. At least until he was back on his feet.
"Couple hundred should work fine." Once he found a place, he could find a job. There was no leaving Lawrence until he had enough to buy a vehicle, pay for gas, food, whatever else was necessary. So he was going to have to stick around a while. A permanent place to crash was a neccessity. "Right now, I'll eat just about anything."
