It had been eight days since Lindsey had woken up, alive and disoriented, in Lawrence. He'd taken the news that he'd gone from one apocalypse to the other in stride. There was always someone trying to create some plan to end the world and the so-called good guys rallied to stop it. He was more concerned that even after a dimensional hop, he was again in the presence of the people he least wanted to see again.
He wasn't sure what was worse, meeting up with them again or that he had nothing to his name here. He'd gone into the battle with nothing except a weapon to defend himself. Angel hadn't given him much range outside of the holding cell and an office in the firm to spend some time with Eve before the big plan was put into action. Now it was biting him in the ass.
Angel was dead if Lindsey ever saw him again.
He knew where the complex was. Even though he hadn't taken the offer of an apartment, he'd still checked it out. So after making the trade with Ruby, he'd left the cafe and headed in that direction. It didn't take long to spot the demon on the lawn on arrival. He tugged the bill of his baseball cap lower, grinning in amusement at her prediciment.
With a quick glanced towards the building, he headed her way. "You look like you've seen better days."
